At your target, this trip is worth up to 41,538 miles.
How the math works
Cents per mile (cpm) = (cash price − taxes and fees on the award) ÷ miles required × 100. If a flight costs $600 in cash and the award is 30,000 miles plus $60 in fees, you are getting (600 − 60) ÷ 30,000 × 100 = 1.8 cents per mile.
What value should you aim for?
There is no single right number. It depends on how easily you earn miles in that program and what else you could use them for. Many travelers set a personal floor and only redeem above it. Count only the cash price you would actually have paid. A $9,000 business-class fare is not $9,000 of value if you would never buy it.
